Does this ever work?

I came across two spots this morning that I think are worth addressing:

Bavaria spoofs Heineken

IFAW spoofs Cadbury

Does borrowed equity ever add to a brand’s position? I personally can’t think of a single example, and there is probably a reason for that.

Funny how normally it’s easy to find out the credits on a spot but I’m having a hard time finding the agency’s behind these spots.
